Ever watched a Soap Box Derby??

This was the weekend before Grant was born. We happened to be in downtown Mansfield when they were having the soap box derby. We watched it for a little while before heading over to the restored carrousel that is a big attraction. And rightly so. I didn't take any pictures of them, but take my word for it, the carved wooden animals on the Mansfield Carrousel are just gorgeous. Everything from horses to cats to bears to ostriches!! And it's only .75 to ride. It was Meliah's first visit to a merry go round...and was a topic of conversation for many days afterwards.

Dad looking cool!

Dad and Meliah both looking cool!!

Intense competition. And if you don't steer straight, they've kindly provided straw bales to crash into, instead of jumping the curb , plowing through the crowd and causing a horrific accident. LOL Those things could do alot of damage, don't ya think!!

Big Sister

Fresh out of bed, ran in to see the baby. :-)

Hmm, it's been awhile!!!

Okay, folks, I promise to add some new pictures soon!! I have a GREAT excuse though ......drumroll.............. we're expecting baby #2 the beginning of July!!! So, I've been lounging on the couch and, unfortunately for you all, updating this blog was way down on the list of absolutely essential things to get done before flopping down again. You know, John seems to like clean clothes and food, and the "I was blogging" excuse only works about once!! I, on the other hand, could have skipped both of those for the last couple of months - jkjk.

Got to go - Meliah has eaten half the tube of Chapstick while I type. {:-)
